Fishing Trip Under Penang Bridge

First of all, I would like to apologize because lack of updates here. I’m busy this week because I have to submit my assignment and had some new experiences. This post will be regarding my 1st experience to go under Penang Bridge to ~~suicide or maybe to plant BOMB~~ follow my friends fishing there. Furthermore, this is only my 2nd trip following Desmond and friends to go fishing. My first time following them for fishing was about 1 month ago.

Desmond asked me to join him fishing on Thursday, at first I thought I wanted to concentrate on my assignment coz the due date was on the next day, Friday. However, due to my stupidness, I don’t know how to solve certain parts of the assignment and need to consult my lecturer. Since I’m having class on Thursday night, then it’s a perfect plan for me to take a break from assignment and join Desmond’s gang for fishing.

On Thursday morning, Desmond told me to come his house at 8am sharp because his friend, Ah Chao will come and fetch us and we going to buy fishes and squids to use as bait later, but this fella still sleeping like PIG!! Luckily I phoned him before I drive out of my house. When I reached his house, he’s still inside toilet, and I had to wait for him outside like sor hai

Why young guys cannot go market and buy fish ?

As planned earlier, Ah Chao fetch Desmond and me and headed to Air Itam’s market because it’s the nearest market. They’re suppose to buy some sardine fishes and some squids. After we bought squids, we’re looking at which stall selling sardine fishes. Later Desmond asked 1 of the fishmonger and he told us that he got sell sardine fishes while pointing to the fish. After Desmond told the fishmonger how much we need the fish, suddenly there’s a auntie next to him started to ask Desmond some funny questions.

Auntie: Hey young man, why do you buy so many fishes ? Do you know how to cook meh ?
Desmond: Oh, we’re going to use those fishes as bait for fishing.
Auntie: WoW, really ? I thought you’re going to cook yourself. Aren’t you suppose to use worms as baits for fishing ?
Desmond: Nono, fishes can be used as well to fish. We’re going out sea to catch fishes, under Penang Bridge.
Auntie: Oh, icic.

Very funny, after we left the market. I asked Desmond why not he said to the auntie that we’re going to cook ? LOL ? Is it very weird to see young guys buy fishes at market ? The auntie thinks that we like dunno how to cook lidet…zzz When we’re walking back to Ah Chao’s car, I saw something “unique” so I take the picture as well. Take a look below, wakakak

Anyone else doing special mods garage ?

Actually I saw something similar to this picture at TheStar where readers send in. Maybe it’s from the same place!!! Later on, we met up with Desmond’s colleague, Chen at somewhere near Greenlane. Ah Chao parked his car and Chen fetch us with his red ~~Ferrari~~ Myvi Okay, to make it short a bit, we had out breakfast and we “tar pao” some food for our lunch when we’re going to be under the bridge. There’s no McD or anything selling under the bridge, ok ? Keke….

Before our Mat Boat send us to the pillar under Penang Bridge, actually he will ask where you want to go first. There’re so many pillars and all have numbers on them. After our “fishermens” discuss with Mat Boat, finally we choose pillar number ~~666~~ 62.

After we reached our destination, the Mat Boat gave us his contact number and sped off. We only need to pay him when he coming to fetch us back later in the evening. The price for each person is RM10 per person which is kinda expensive but for me although I’m not there for fishing actually, I glad that I can experience the trip to under Penang Bridge, hehe. Mat Boat explained that the further you wanted to go, you need to pay more, for example RM15 per person.

Actually nothing much to blog because I’m just following them for fishing but I’m not fishing myself, wakaka. Ok, I did play around but no catch for me >.< Sometimes I walked around the small area and I noticed something, hehe…jeng jeng jeng, take a look at the picture below. It’s located at lamp post between pillar number 61 and 62.

Conclusion, we all having BAD LUCK because whole day only catch small fishes, no big fishes dare to come near us, keke. Yeah, almost forget 1 funny part. There was a time where the sea is on high tide. So the water level is almost as high as the place we’re standing. Chen was lying down and taking a nap. The rest of us was fishing as normal. Then there’s this 1 idiot boat sped past us very fast. As the result, this causes the water to flow over our place, where we place our stuff and where Chen is sleeping.

Everything happen very fast and we’re not prepared. I was holding the fishing rod and suddenly I saw the water flow over Chen. He’s shocked and wake up immediately. He did picked his bags and some stuff. So the same for the rest of us. My cam was placed on top of the ice box, nearby Desmond’s place. So lucky my cam is not swept off by the water. Ah Chao’s kinda unlucky, some of his small fishing equipments swept off into the sea.

At first Desmond said wanted to leave at about 5pm, but about that time, he get 1 fish (i dunno wat name) which is different type from the small fishes we catch the whole day. According to them, the fish is the good type just that it’s in small size. We extend the time to leave to ~~5.30pm~~ almost 5.50pm. When Mat Boat fetch us back already 6pm. Thanks to Desmond, my appointment all messed up.

I’m suppose to meet PYen before my class at 7pm. I reached Desmond house already about 6.45pm because that time a lot of traffic jams. Then, I had a quick bath before went to Perangin Mall to pass/take something from PYen. In the end, I reached about 1/2 hour late for my class….Haiz

Forget to say that we need to walk past this to get to the boat this morning, hehe
